He must have been in a pretty good mood after seeing South Africa en-route to battering Samoa 46-6, and seemed to decide observing the action really wasn’t enough.
No he wanted to be right in the mix with the players.
He just charges right onto the field and throws himself into it, either because he’s batshit crazy, drunk or just wanted the experience of a lifetime – albeit a bit of a dangerous one.
