In a move that will definitely not calm tensions on the Korean peninsula, South Korea have revealed that they have plans to assassinate North Korea’s fearless leader Kim Jong-un.
Not content on keeping it on the DL, the South Korean defence minister Han Min-koo revealed in parliament their intentions in how to deal with a problem like North Korea.
It’s been known for a while now that South Korea are ready to crush Kim Jong-un’s military ambitions and reduce the secretive state to ashes, but never have they gone so far in saying that they’d eradicate the portly dictator.
When he was asked if there was a special forces unit already assembled that could eliminate Kim, Min-koo said:
Yes, we do have such a plan. South Korea has a general idea and plan to use precision missile capabilities to target the enemy’s facilities in major areas as well as eliminating the enemy’s leadership.
The Independent reports that this would be part of a three-pronged defence strategy that would see South Korea utilising its anti-missile system and ‘Kill Chain’, a military strike programme which was devised back in 2014.
The minister added that South Korea will maintain an army of half a million soldiers to counter the threat of North Korea’s 1.2 million troops, if Kim decided to invade (probably not a wise idea).
The opposition leader even went as far as saying that if China and Russia failed to ‘join sanctions against North Korea’s nuclear development’ weapons must be deployed.
