Marvel have decided to take teasing to a whole new level, releasing a 17 second clip from the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie ahead of tomorrow’s full trailer.
The teaser, which matches descriptions of footage shown in Brazil last week, doesn’t reveal much about the film’s plot but it does hint at Spider-Man’s (Tom Holland) wider connection to the wider Marvel web.
In the clip we see Spidey confronted by Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) over the ridiculous home made suit we saw briefly in Civil War before pointing out that Mr Stark (Robert Downey Jr) had sent him a gift.
The clip then cuts to Spider-Man in all his red and blue glory leaping over a helicopter and spreading out his ‘iconic web wings’ – a feature that we’ve never seen outside of the comics before.
Homecoming will focus on Peter Parker trying to balance his life as a high school student in New York with his life as the crime fighting wall crawler Spider-Man.
Things get complicated for the web-head though when The Vulture (Michael Keaton), one of Pete’s most iconic villains, arrives in the city to sew chaos!
This teaser may have been brief but we’re already excited for the main trailer, bring on tomorrow!
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
