Set to be directed by J.J. Abrams (The Force Awakens, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness) following the departure of Colin Trevorrow, cameras are due to start rolling next year so clear your schedules.

If you audition you must have legal eligibility to work in the entertainment industry in the UK as filming will take place at Pinewood Studios in London and surrounding areas.

Details of when and where the auditions are happening is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

Of course there is a note at the bottom of the casting call that states the lead and supporting roles are chiefly being cast ‘through talent agents in Los Angeles, New York, and London’ but you can still take a shot at it.

Why not? You could end up in a galaxy far, far away…
