Warning light season five spoilers!

Game of Thrones fans rejoice – we finally know the date of the season six premiere.

The Independent reports the fantasy smash hit will be returning to screens on April 24 on HBO , in its usual 9pm slot.

The date’s pretty similar to previous seasons and puts to rest fan fears that the show was going to be knocked back to May to make way for other HBO dramas.

There’s even better news for us Brits – Sky Atlantic plan on simulcasting the show so we’ll manage to stay spoiler free, although that may just be for the most dedicated of fans because you’ll have to stay up until 2am to watch it.

After season five’s brutal cliff-hanger ending blew all our minds the premiere can’t come fast enough.

It’s predicted that season 6 will centre on Jon Snow’s resurrection and subsequent battle with Ramsay, and Bran Stark’s honing of his Warg abilities.

Despite the good news fans who don’t subscribe to HBO or Sky beware: Spoilers are Coming.
