Footage has emerged of the horrifying moment a stunt plane plummeted out of the sky and crashed during a car festival in Cheshire earlier today.
The dramatic video shot at CarFest North 2015, in Oulton Park, shows the red Gnat plane suddenly nosedive and crash into trees.
The plane was part of an aerobatics display at the festival, which is being hosted by new Top Gear presenter Chris Evans.
I am very sad to announce there has been a serious air incident at CarFest North off site. The emergency services are in attendance.

Two planes performed a low-level, close-proximity pass just before the crash at around 2pm. It is not yet known how many people were on board the plane or if anyone was injured in the crash.
Pictures from the scene show black smoke rising above trees near the CarFest 2015 site moments after the crash.
Emergency services and police officers are currently attending the scene to find out what happened, and whether the pilot survived the crash. Let’s hope for the best!
