Earlier this month it was confirmed Super Troopers 2 had finished production but no details of a release date were mentioned… until now.
After years of speculation and a successful crowdfunding campaign back in 2015, the sequel to the 2002 comedy classic is done and dusted and an ‘obvious’ release date is set.
The film about a group of bumbling Vermont State Troopers has been unofficially announced to be released early next year. Can you figure it out?

Asked if there is a release date, Steve Lemme — who plays MacIntyre ‘Mac’ Womack, told Seven Days:
There is, but I can’t tell you what it is. Here’s what I can tell you: It’s springtime and there’s a very obvious date, which happens to fall on a Friday this year.
That date, is being reported as April 20, next year.
According to Movie Web:
While Lemme doesn’t come right out and say it, the release date is April 20th, 2018, which is perfect for a Broken Lizard production and even more perfect for Super Troopers 2.
4/20 holds a special place for many and is easily the most obvious day in the spring since it is indeed on a Friday next year.
4/20 is a code in cannabis culture referring to smoking cannabis around the time 4:20pm, and because of the way American’s arrange dates (month/day), April 20 is 4/20. Simple.
But despite Steve saying there was a release date, director Jay Chandrasekhar, has taken to Twitter to deny it:
We want this film, right meow.
