This is the disturbing moment a teenage thief was caught and punished in a tattoo artist’s home in Brazil.

Though little is known about the video which was posted to BestGore, the tattoo artist caught the boy allegedly trying to steal, before tattooing his forehead with a lengthy Portugese message reading: ‘Eu sou ladrão e vacilão’.

Unfortuntalely there aren’t any Portugese speakers in our office so translating the message which is now permanently branded on this boy’s head has been a tricky task.

‘Eu sou ladrão’ was simple, ‘I’m a thief’, however ‘e vacilão’ was relatively hard. According to Google Translate it means ‘and hesitation’, other sources claim it means ‘avoid me’, and some others believe it means ‘and a loser’.

The only thing to be sure of right now is that I’m sure glad that’s not on my forehead.

It’s no secret that the level of violent crime in Brazil is incredibly high with their being 30-35 murders for every 100,000 people placing it in the top 20 countries for homicide.

Brazil’s level of crime has led to numerous people and communities policing themselves and dishing out horrific punishments on anybody who is caught in the wrong.

Although the teenager in the above video is clearly in the wrong I don’t think it takes a genius to figure that a forehead tattoo is absolutely not an okay thing to do anyone, let alone a young kid.

Everybody makes stupid mistakes, some evidently more stupid than others, but to be permanently branded for life at such a young age just seems incredibly barbaric.
