Tekashi69 has been sentenced to four years probation in a child sex case, according to latest reports.

The rapper was reportedly tight-lipped when he left the NYC courthouse on Friday (October 26), to get his sentence, where the judge let him off with four years probation.

This sentence was exactly what the rapper’s legal team had requested, and the court erupted in cheers when the sentence was handed down.

After he was sentenced, Tekashi69 addressed the judge directly and announced he was going by the name, Daniel Hernandez, his government name, rather than Tekashi69.

He said:

I have millions of youth that look at me as a role model and the last place I want to be is incarcerated, they don’t deserve it. Thank you.

The judge also gave him one year credit, which means he only has three years of probation left, according to TMZ. He’ll also have to perform 1000 hours of community service, and avoid all gang activity.

If he’s found to be in breach of these conditions, he’ll be re-sentenced, and could face prison.

Hernandez pled guilty to one count of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, back in 2015 before he was famous.

In legal documents which were obtained by TMZ, prosecutors say Tekashi was at a party in Harlem where a 13-year-old girl was taped ‘engaging in sexual acts with another man’.

In the tape, Tekashi reportedly ‘stood behind the child making a thrusting motion with his pelvis and smacking her on her buttocks.’ He was 18 at the time.

Tekashi’s sentence was deferred for two years, and if he met certain criteria, the judge would only give him probation. This included getting mental health treatment and staying out of trouble.

Tekashi since got arrested in Texas for attacking a fan in a mall, as well as in Brooklyn for assaulting a police officer. However, he and his legal team argued this did not constitute a violation of his plea deal.

His rep told TMZ:

Daniel understands what he must do now moving forward and we will be with him every step of the way. We also want to thank the judge for being very fair and impartial.
