Telltale Games is bringing its magic brand of episodic storytelling to the world of Batman, and we’ve now been given our first good look at the game.
Batman: The Telltale Series looks set to focus as much on Bruce Wayne as it does his crime fighting alter-ego, providing us with a slower paced bat adventure than we’re used to (which is no bad thing).
A number of classic characters pop up in the trailer (below), including Alfred Pennyworth, a pre Two Face Harvey Dent, Vicki Vale, Jim Gordon, and Carmine Falcone.
The first episode – called ‘Realm of Shadows’ – actually isn’t all that far away either – it’ll be coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, as well as iOS and Android devices on August 2.
Telltale intend to have the full season out by the end of the year, though they have said this won’t happen at the expense of quality (which is encouraging).
September 13 (16 in Europe) will also see the launch of a physical version of the game, though it’ll only come with the first of the five episodes in the season – The rest would then automatically download as and when they release
