There are already 700 million reasons why Americans would want to play the lotto this weekend, but just for good measure here are ten more.

With the jackpot rolling over again after nobody won Wednesday night’s draw, the Powerball Lotto has reached an astounding jackpot of $700 million (roughly £479 million).

Tickets can be bought in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and according to Elite Daily the potential winner would have enough cash in the bank to purchase any of these private islands.

I suppose one of those would do, mind you, with the odds of matching all the balls at one in 292 million you may want to grab a few extra tickets.

Meanwhile in England a record £50.4 million will be on offer this weekend, more than enough to at least visit some of these dream locations.
