The opening cinematic for the PlayStation 4’s Attack on Titan Game has appeared online, and it looks wonderful – if your definition of wonderful involves flying around cutting open weird naked giant men that eat humans, obviously.
The game is based on the first season of the Attack on Titan anime (it’s on Netflix and it’s great, go watch). It’s being developed by Omega Force, who are no strangers to sublime fast paced videogame violence, having worked on the excellent Dynasty Warriors series.
Attack on Titan looks gorgeous, and absolutely nails the style of the anime. The opening cinematic (below) showcases all kinds of disgustingly awesome Titans, as well as some of the aerial slicing and dicing you’ll be doing in-game.
Attack on Titan is out now in Japan for PS4, PS3, and the PS Vita. We still don’t know when exactly an English release is coming – but it’s definitely happening sometime this year.
