EA have just dropped this absolute beast of a trailer, held up their hands, and walked off stage.
In what is surely one of the most memorable trailers EA have ever produced, we see the likes of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Alex Morgan strutting their stuff alongside their virtual avatars, all set to a bewilderingly excellent footballing rendition of Aria from the ‘Barber of Seville’ opera. Also Kobe Bryant is there for some reason.
A press release accompanying the FIFA 16 advert reads:
The spot dramatizes the one-upmanship nature of football that drives players to make the game ever more beautiful, and literally sings an ode to the sport in the accompanying soundtrack.
If you were on the fence about buying the game this year, then this incredible trailer might just sway your decision about the purchase. Brilliant.
FIFA 16 has its official release date next week on 24 September, and will be available across all platforms.
