The result of the EU referendum last month came as a shock to many, and since the people of the UK voted to leave the European Union many have called for a second referendum to take place.
A staggering 4.1 million people signed a petition, far surpassing the required 100,000 signatures for a parliamentary debate.
Although the debate has not taken place, the Foreign Office released a statement on Friday evening seemingly quashing any chance of a second referendum taking place.
A total of 33 million people voted in the referendum, and it looks like the people of the UK will have to live with their decision to leave the EU.
