Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were married over the weekend in a typically glamorous affair, played out at Windsor Castle on one of the warmest days of the year, so far.
The ceremony was officiated by the Dean of Windsor, David Conner, and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who performed the newlyweds’ vows.
Now, thanks to a sneak preview of some of the official pictures, released by Kensington Palace, we have a greater idea of what went on behind closed doors. No, not in that way. Come on.
A Palace spokesman said yesterday, (May 21):
[Harry and Meghan] feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and also all those who watched the wedding on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world.
On the Twitter account, an announcement about the official wedding photographs read:
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released three official photographs from their Wedding day.
These photographs were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Windsor Castle, following the carriage procession.

But how exactly do they differ from that of Kate and Wills’ pics? Well, it doesn’t take a genius to notice the different display of modernity.
While obviously youthful-looking, Kate and Wills’ photos are symmetrical and neat. Straight if not stiff. Easy now.
No-one is sat on the floor, for example, like in Meghan and Harry’s snaps.
‘Britain’s Official Etiquette Expert’, Grant Harrold, said the photos – including one with Meghan sporting a messy bun, as she flanks herself over Prince Harry on some steps – are ‘very modern.’
Harrold told FEMAIL:
The wedding pictures released today echo my views on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being very modern royals.
These images go to show just that and the less formal pictures echo the engagement photos of the happy couple too.
Let’s not forget that the official Pictures of the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were fitting for that of future Kings and Queens
Meghan Markle was walked down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel by Prince Charles after her father, Thomas Markle, was forced to pull out at the last minute due to heart surgery.
On the morning of the wedding, Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, accompanied her daughter to Windsor Castle along with select members of the wedding party.
A statement from Kensington Palace, prior to the wedding, said:
They hope this short journey will provide an opportunity for more people to come together around Windsor and to enjoy the atmosphere of this special day.
Following the service, there will be a reception at St George’s Hall for the couple and the guests from the congregation.
Later that evening, the Prince of Wales will give a private evening reception for the couple and their close friends and family.
The statement continued:
In addition to having the support of The Queen, his father The Prince of Wales, and his brother Prince William as best man, Prince Harry is also keen to involve his mother’s family in his wedding.
All three siblings of Diana, Princess of Wales will be in attendance and Lady Jane Fellowes will give the reading.
Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honoured Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day.
According to Kensington Palace, the wedding was attended by 600 guests, a modestly small gathering when compared to William and Kate’s, which boasted 1,900 guests.
A group of 200 close acquaintances were then invited to an after-party at Frogmore House, a short walk from St George’s Chapel.
Meghan’s official title is now the Duchess of Sussex, while Prince Harry is now the Duke of Sussex.
Regardless of your stance on the royal family, a happy couple’s a happy couple. These pictures are nice whether it’s Meghan or your ma, IMHO.
