Whether you’re a fan of World of Warcraft or not, it’s difficult to argue against the fact that this teaser trailer from the upcoming movie looks pretty damn exciting.
This teaser trailer for the Warcraft movie has been released after a poster of the film made the rounds yesterday, and before a full-length trailer is set to come out on Friday.
Directed by Duncan Jones – whose previous accolades include Moon and Source Code – and starring Dominic Cooper, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Toby Kebbel, and Clancy Brown, the film initially wrapped in May 2014 but has seen numerous push-backs for a release date of June 10, 2016.
Jones spoke about the film with The Verge:
It was imperative that we came up with a story which stood in its own right, and brought an audience who didn’t know Warcraft along with it.
I saw that as my job on this film. Help realize and communicate this universe that Blizzard had built up through Warcraft, and bring it to an audience that didn’t know anything about it. And with this first film I think we’ve done a great job of that.
Warcraft is set to release in UK cinemas on June 3rd 2016, and the trailer really only leaves one question: For the Alliance of for the Horde?
