The Queen was reported to the police as she made her way to the State Opening of Parliament.
The reason? She wasn’t wearing her seat belt as she travelled to Westminster alongside Prince Charles, to deliver the Queen’s Speech at the State Opening of Parliament yesterday.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed in a tweet that someone had called 999 saying the monarch was not safely strapped in.
Not only was she not in West Yorkshire – it’s also not a 999 emergency.

The law states you ‘must wear a seat belt if one is fitted in the seat you are using’.
However, criminal proceedings can’t be taken against the Queen in UK law and a spokesman said it would not comment on the complaint, according to the Mirror.
Tom Donohoe, of West Yorkshire Police, said:
I cannot stress enough that the 999 number is for emergencies only.
It wasn’t just her seatbelt antics that got people talking though… the Queen also grabbed attention for her hat – which people said resembled the EU flag.
Of course, people took to Twitter with their theories, with some insinuating it was an anti-Brexit protest on the Queen’s behalf.
Seriously, I just can't imagine this hat resembling the EU flag was chosen by accident for the Queen's speech… pic.twitter.com/ItxkDYKIJi

Did anyone else wonder whether the Queen wearing EU colours, & that her hat looked like the flag, was her version of a protest?
