The Simpsons paid tribute to the late greats Alan Rickman and David Bowie today, by releasing an old clip featuring the two British icons.
The hilarious video parodies two of Rickman’s most famous films, Love Actually and Harry Potter.
We’re sure the screen icon, who died of cancer aged 69 on Thursday, would have loved this bizarrely British clip.
The SimpsonsThe clip begins with Homer and friends trying to understand their wives by watching ‘Love Indubitably’, featuring a Prime Minister voiced by the always wonderful Benedict Cumberbatch, who uses his immense political power to declare his love for his secretary, Eliza Commonbottom.
Parliament then erupts into applause and cheers when they kiss as All The Young Dudes by David Bowie, who also unexpectedly passed away this week, blasts out.
The SimpsonsIn scenes that wouldn’t be out of place in a Monty Python sketch, Rickman randomly appears dressed as Professor Severus Snape to give a speech about how: “Love is more powerful than all my magic”.
Then Shakespeare, Churchill, Sherlock Holmes and Isaac Newton perform The Full Monty as director Alfred Hitchcock steps out of Dr Who’s Tardis and breakdances.
