There’s Now A Second Theory That The World Will End Next Year

Mark it in your diaries, folks. There’s a new theory that the world will not end on one day next year, but two – August 21 and September 23, 2017.

That is, according to a few devout Christians.

And Reverend Donna Larson claims her calculations conclusively prove judgement day will soon be upon us.

Here’s her theory: The Bible says that man will rule the earth for 6,000 years before facing God’s wrath, and Reverend Larson reckons Adam was created way back in 3,983 BC – which helpfully marks the six thousandth anniversary next year, the Daily Star reports.

Now, she also points out that the 70th anniversary of Israel’s birth and 50 years after the unification of Jerusalem also chimes in with that date. So it must be true.

Larson explained:

All these numbers have Biblical significance – 50 is the number of unification between Passover and Pentecost and 70 is the number of fulfilment according to the book of Daniel, Chapter 9.

So 50 and 70 represent the beginning and the end.

Michael Parker, who runs the Christian blog End of Time Prophecies – backed up the theory saying: “2017 will be a year of great awakening and of great shaking.”

He said:

Scripture tells us that when a nation involved and its leaders involved attempt to divide the land of Israel, God will come to that nation and divide the land as judgment for doing so.

There is a solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, that makes its path diagonally across the US – essentially cutting it in half.

Another prophecy is fulfilled on September 23, 2017, when an alignment of planets and stars fulfil Revelation, Chapter 12.

So really, the world is going to end on two days – not one. Which means extra pain and suffering.

Robert Binnion, who runs the end-of-time prophecy website Nice Timing, used different calculations but reached an identical apocalyptic conclusion. Keep in mind though, that he runs a Christian website. So it’s not entirely surprising the calculations used from the same Christian book were the same.

But don’t worry, Christian group Unsealed predicted some good news for us. They said, while the end of the world will begin next year, it will only officially end in Autumn 2024. So while that kind of contradicts the Reverend’s theory, at least we get a good extra seven years of pain and torture before we all succumb to our miserable deaths at the hands of God.

It seems the world is going to end every year, and while I’m sure eventually an apocalyptic prediction will probably come true, it’s unlikely this is the one.
