These Justin Bieber Fans Paid $2,000 To Meet A Cardboard Cut-Out

Spare a thought for the Justin Bieber fans who paid thousands just to meet a cardboard cut-out this Easter.

The Canadian singer told fans last week that he would no longer be attending any of his meet and greets. Why? Because they make him sad, apparently.

So, following his gig in Las Vegas this weekend, fans who paid $2,000 (£1,400) for the premium backstage experience realised that the closest they were going to get to the Biebs was next to a cardboard cut-out of him.

Love u guys.. I’m going to be canceling my meet and greets. I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people’s spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy.. Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression .. The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can’t tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn’t so hard on me.. And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I’m in to give you the best show you have ever seen ;)

Justin told his 62.6 million followers he loved his fans but was left feeling ‘drained and unhappy’, often to the point of depression, during the greets.

He wrote in an Instagram post:

And the fans – who probably forked out all of their life savings to meet a cardboard cut-out – didn’t even get a refund for their backstage pass, unless they were willing to forfeit their entire ticket to the show.

Social media, of course, reacted appropriately.

Just when you thought Justin Bieber might be finally turning over a new leaf, he does this. Ridiculous.
