The manager of a pet store says a thief who was caught on camera shoving a python down his pants was ‘lucky wasn’t feeding day’.

Christin Bjugan, manager of A to Z Pets in the US, said they noticed that a 2-foot-long black pastel ball python was missing on Friday.

After becoming concerned for the missing snake, she scoured through security footage until she found the moronic thief.

Bjugan told local news channel KPTV:

There [are] cameras everywhere — and you’d think that people would see them.

The security footage clearly shows the man take the $200 (£138) snake out of its cage and proceed to stuff it down the front of his trousers.

Bjugan claims that the man then waddled out of the shop while ‘trying to act like there’s not a snake in his pants’.

She said:

He’s lucky it wasn’t feeding day.

Feeding days are on Mondays. And they’re very hungry.

The store manager claims that the man was accompanied by a blue-haired woman.

Police are now on the hunt for the thief and his two foot long trouser snake.
