Fancy a free trip? A New Zealand company is offering to foot the bill for prospective employee’s interviews – even if you live halfway around the world.
The city of Wellington is looking to recruit people from all corners of the globe in order to invigorate the country’s growing tech scene. And they’re offering a free holiday to anyone who can prove their merit.
The program, Looksee Wellington – a partnership between the Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency and Workhere New Zealand, global recruitment marketing company – will host 100 lucky candidates and pay for their flights.
In exchange, all you have to do is show up for pre-arranged interviews with ‘leading tech companies’ in the city.
Candidates will also have to participate in meet-ups and explorations, and at the end of the week, companies will make offers to the best candidates.
For those a little travel-shy, Looksee Wellington will also host informational events to help potential immigrants understand the process of moving to New Zealand.
The program’s aim is to ‘address the city’s IT skills shortage’ and they’re looking for new software developers, creative directors, product managers, analysts, and digital strategists.
Applicants have until March 20 to submit their application. The trip and interviews will take place in New Zealand from May 8-11.
