People may not like the new series of Top Gear but at least Chris Evans is keeping one of the show’s traditions alive, he’s in trouble with his boss.

According to The Sun, Chris Evans is under pressure to improve his behaviour on the set of Top Gear or lose his job, sources claim.

BBC Creative Director Kate Phillips is allegedly angry with the show’s main presenter over his controlling behaviour on set, which is beginning to upset the rest of the team.

After a number of complaints about his antics, The One Show star is now in for what’s being called the ‘biggest telling off of his career’.

A source told The Sun:

He’s now going to be told there will be changes and if he doesn’t like it then he should go.

Matt LeBlanc is reportedly being lined up to take over main host duties if Evans doesn’t cooperate, as the former Friends actor is famous across the world.

The Top Gear boss, Ms Phillips, has a reputation for delivering programmes to a global audience and is the mastermind behind Strictly Come Dancing’s success in the States.

The source went on to add:

Matt is more well-known and popular with audiences, so Chris will take a back seat like he did towards the end of the series. The other presenters will have a more prominent role and it will be seen as an ensemble rather than Chris and his team.

Let’s hope Chris can do a u-turn on his attitude and make Top Gear the show we all know it can be!
