As dog person, I love these sort of stories.
This dog was clearly in a terrible state.
Painfully underweight, parasites going wild on her skin, she was covered in wounds and sunburn.
A family were driving when they saw her on the side of the road.
The dog has clearly had a tough life of abuse, but in spite of this, the pooch took very little convincing to get into the family car. They decided to call her Kelsey.
Being grossly underweight and covered in sores, she ate and drank eagerly, and vets came up with a plan for her. Trusting them, she got comfy in their blankets as they bathed her.
Over time, she started to liven up, and become a happy little dog. Her fur even started to grow back.
Thanks to the love and patience of one family, this Kelsey now has a second chance at life.
