One SIZE SIX model has sent a “f*ck you” to her modelling agency on social media after they allegedly told her she was too big for the industry.

Charli Howard, 23, says she was not willing to represent an image which made young girls “ill”, and hit back when she was instructed to lose an inch off her hips.

Speaking about the criticism, she described how she felt ashamed on a daily basis. Her Facebook post read: “I refuse to feel ashamed and upset on a daily basis for not meeting your ridiculous, unobtainable beauty standards, whilst you sit at a desk all day, shovelling cakes and biscuits down your throats and slagging me and my friends off about our appearance.”

She continued: “The more you force us to lose weight and be small, the more designers have to make clothes to fit our sizes, and the more young girls are being made ill. It’s no longer an image I choose to represent.”

Charli claims the alleged advice she had received from the unnamed agency has now put her off pursuing her modelling dreams. The agency has remained unnamed.

The alleged incident comes just months after Swedish model Agnes Hedengard, 19, hit out at modelling agencies around the world after frequently being told she was ‘too big’ for the catwalk.

A video she posted online shows her talking about the issues while showing off her tiny frame. Her reason for uploading the video was to to show the world how ‘absurd’ the modelling industry is when it comes to size – and it has since been viewed over 4 million times.
