Money making schemes are all the rage these days but one creative guy has come up with one of the simplest, yet effective, business models we’ve ever seen!
Robert Samuel, founder of Same Ole Line Dudes, makes in the region of $1,000 (£660) every week just for standing in line for other people.
It all sounds very British indeed (we bloody love a good queue over here) but the business is actually based in new York City, with Robert happy to wait in line for Broadway shows, sample sales, tech releases and even brunch waitlists.
This smart entrepreneur charges $25 per hour for the unique service and his Uber-inspired business is already proving such a smash hit that Robert is bringing in new employees to cope with the high demand for queue place-holders.
He recently spent a whopping 48 hours waiting outside the Apple store waiting for the release of the new iPhone 6S. He was the first in line, slept in a fold-up cot for two nights, had pizza delivered to his spot and pocketed a cool $1,200 (£790) for the gig. Nice work, if you can get it!
It’s a pretty genius idea and credit to this guy for spotting a gap in the market!
