TwitterA Leave voter has admitted that he didn’t think his ballot would matter and is now apparently shocked the UK will leave the European Union.
Absolutely shocking.
In a segment during the BBC’s national coverage of the referendum, reporters introduced Adam as a Leave voter and asked for his reaction.

How it’s possible for someone to say such senseless things and look so earnest while doing so is beyond me.
He said:

Leave won almost 52 per cent of the total vote after the final count.
And despite an on-the-day poll predicting a win for Remain, more Leave voters turned out in order to take the UK out of the EU. Turnout in the referendum was 71.8 per cent with more than 30 million people voting, the Huffington Post reports.

If even a fraction of Leave voters thought, like Adam, that their vote wouldn’t count and Britain would remain in the EU anyway, it proves that we’re pretty fucked.
The decision has already sent shockwaves around the world and prompted David Cameron’s resignation.
This guy is a prime example of why we shouldn’t take referendums as a joke.
