TwitterAh, high school – a time where egos were high and self esteem was low.
It was a particularly odd time in most people’s life. You make fun of other people before they can make fun of you, because everyone’s self-conscious and apparently that was acceptable at 15.
But because it’s 2016, poking fun at people in the hallways in front of your friends just isn’t good enough anymore. It’s got to be filmed, and subsequently put on Twitter for the whole world to laugh at. What a generation.
Enter the #huhchallenge – the new internet trend where friends and classmates drag one another in annoying voices, then shout ‘huhhhhhh’ and film it.

If it sounds stupid, it is. And it seems like pretty much every high school Twitter user is doing it:

And some of them are pretty weak:

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon:
I'm doin that #huhchallenge tomorrow

But sometimes, it can be done it good humour:

There are even Twitter accounts dedicated to gathering the best (and worst) Huh Challenges.
No one seems to know how or why it started, but not everyone seems to think it’s funny.
The #huhchallenge is so stupid, i don't get what's so cool about putting everyone on blast

It wouldn’t be surprising if this trend will result in new high school awards like ‘Most Ruthless’ and ‘Most Likely To Be Roasted’.
Either way, insulting anyone – no matter the trend – isn’t really something to laugh at.
