When you hear the phrase ‘real life Street Fighter’ your first thought is probably of a drunken brawl outside the pub over who was first in line for the cash point (if you live in the UK, anyway).
In the context of this video however, it’s a group of fans paying tribute to the classic arcade brawler – in glorious hyper violent style.
The impressive homemade effort was filmed in some guy’s back garden, with authentic costumes and some genuinely impressive stunts. There are a fair few wince inducing sound effects thrown in for good measure.
It would also be remiss of me not to point out the lovely CG work. It can’t be easy to make a video where hadoukens fly willy nilly through the air, and a stretchy limbed warrior has his arm chopped off.
Check out the video in all its glory – replete with the classic bonus car smashing stage, naturally.
Kudos to the guys over at the YouTube channel RackaRacka for putting this gem together.
