Thousand of people have lined the streets of Blackhall in County Durham to say their final goodbyes to Bradley Lowery.
Premier League star and Bradley’s best friend Jermain Defoe wore an England shirt while thousands of others came out to pay their respects to the tragic six-year-old.
The youngster was baptised six years ago at St Joseph’s Catholic Church where today, sadly, he is being buried.
Bradley captured the hearts of the entire footballing world as he bravely battled neurobalstoma.
Some people released balloons as his coffin passed while spontaneous rounds of applause also greeted the hearse.
Mourners were dressed as superheroes and hundreds turned out in football shirts to honour the brave little lad’s life.
Defoe had left a training camp at his new club in Bournemouth to be there while ex-Sunderland boss David Moyes also attended.
RIP Bradley. Gone but never forgotten. You’ve inspired us all.
