Tom Hanks has revealed that Disney Pixar’s widely anticipated Toy Story 4 has started production, although he may get told off for telling everyone.

Hanks revealed in an interview on The Graham Norton Show that he’s scheduled to start recording dialogue for Woody in December.

Hanks said:

We’re now recording Toy Story 4… it will be out in 2018, so it takes a long time. I have a recording session on the second of December.

Occasionally actors will get over excited on a talk show, giving something away about the film they’re working on or upcoming movies and it seems even an experienced actor like Hanks has been ‘told off’ by movie studios for spoilers.

He told The Graham Norton Show that when Toy Story 3 was released and he said there would be a fourth movie, Disney’s lawyers contacted him and warned him that he could affect their stock prices. But laughed them off saying: “Hey, I’m sorry, but let me just point out. I’m Woody, pal.”

While there’s some doubt over the quality of a Toy Story sequel, especially as the series ended with some degree of finality, Pixar have earned some goodwill and we’re sure this will be a great movie.

Original it was thought that Toy Story 4 would be out in 2017, but this date has been pushed back to 2018. The toys will be out of the box and back on screen on July 13, 2018 in the UK.
