Hardy, who will receive his CBE for ‘services to drama’, is known for his ‘hard-man’ roles in various films, and TV shows but also for Bedtime Stories.

Let’s remind ourselves of Bedtime Stories, shall we?:

Hardy has a child with his actor wife Charlotte Riley, and a son from a previous relationship.

He’s currently working on the upcoming Fonzo, in which he’ll portray infamous gangster Al Capone.

The upcoming biopic will tell the story of Capone as dementia sets in, bringing forward past memories of his violent lifestyle.

When Capone was released from prison, after a decade behind bars, he was in poor health. Shortly afterwards, he died of a heart attack in 1947 at the age of 48, bringing an end to his reign of criminal terror.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

Once a ruthless businessman and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist, Alphonse Capone was the most infamous and feared gangster of American lore.

At the age of 47, following nearly a decade of imprisonment, dementia rots Alphonse’s mind and his past becomes present as harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life.

Right. Taking this dog here for a walk ????♠️???????????

Hardy’s other major release for 2018 is due out at the beginning of October, the Spider-Man spinoff Venom.

Fans were concerned about the upcoming movie after rumours circulated saying the black suit wouldn’t be making an appearance in the Sony film.

Jeremy Conrad, a former editor at IGN, wrote about what it could mean for the film on his site Manabyte:

According to the alleged plot breakdown that’s being spread around, the majority of the movie sees the Symbiote manifest itself via veins on Brock’s arms, tendrils, additional arms, and a shield during a car chase.

The plot spoilers match up with scenes in the teaser trailer exactly, so what it’s saying is plausible.

The worst thing about it is that you do not see the actual Venom suit until the very end of the movie when the symbiote forms itself around Brock to fight the big bad government villain who is also using a symbiote from space.

Other stars being honoured in the Queen’s birthday honours include Oscar-winning actor Emma Thompson, who’s being made a dame – and about time, too.

The former Liverpool and Celtic footballer, and manager, Kenny Dalglish will receive a knighthood for services to football, charity and the city of Liverpool.

Professor Mary Beard will receive a damehood for services to the study of classical civilisations.

Footballer Jermain Defoe will receive an OBE for services to the Jermain Defoe Foundation for underprivileged children.

Kiera Knightley will receive an OBE for services to drama and charity, while skeleton athlete Lizzy Yarnold will receive an OBE for services to Winter Olympic sport.

Boxer Anthony Joshua will receive an OBE for services to sport.

Congratulations to everybody being honoured, well-deserved.
