Screen-acting god and all-round good egg, Tom Hardy returns to the BBC this Valentine’s Day to warm the cockles of your heart.
After Twitter mums went wild with glee when Hardy narrated the New Year’s Eve CBeebies Bedtime Story, the 37-year-old father-of-two is back with another evening tale in honour of Saint Valentine and the third-century Cupid succumbing to commercialisation a the hands of capitalisation.
The Hollywood actor, who has portrayed some of the greatest murders and villains in pop culture history, will now read The Cloudspotter by Tom McLaughlin to your kids on this evening of romance.
Of course, bed time is an occasion for parents and children to bond in shared enjoyment of the tales told, passed down from generation to generation.
Hardy’s example promises to offer moments that provide entertainment for all, whether you’re a tiny tot or a lone adult on Valentine’s Day or anyone else who happens to be a sucker for the actor’s smooth vocal stylings.
Between his critically-acclaimed drama, Taboo and his regular slots on CBeebies, Hardy is becoming a BBC favourite.
Perhaps he will be roped in to tell the Halloween bedtime story too, and put his Bane impression to good use.
Tom Hardy’s Bedtime Stories episode will air on CBeebies at 6.40pm tonight.
