Everyone’s favourite pro skater tries his hand at skateboarding on a deck made from paper. Turns out he’s still a beast on the board.
Ernest Packaging Solutions probably isn’t a name that springs to mind when you think of skateboard brands. And with good reason – they make packaging from cardboard. Whilst sitting around in their cardboard boxes, one bright spark decided to see what else they could do with the material, and the result was actually pretty cool. They decided to build some skateboards.
Drafting in Tony Hawk to trial the prototype, they initially build three boards. One made of paper, one of cardboard, and one reinforced with carbon fibre. Giving Hawk the paper board, it proves above anything that the 47 year old skater can still nail the ramp, even when he’s skating on paper. Awesome.
