Just last month, a former topless page three model turned Islamic radical was warned by police that if she didn’t stop what she was doing she would be arrested.
The girl, Kimberly Miners – who now refers to herself as Aisha Lauren al-Britaniya – didn’t take the police’s advice and continued conversing with ISIS recruiters, and now she’s been arrested, reports ITV.
The former page three girl for The Sun was questioned and bailed by police on suspicion of possessing terrorist material, while her home in Bradford was raided and searched.
A CTU spokesperson said:
As part of an ongoing police investigation, officers from the North East CTU arrested a 27-year-old woman from Bradford on Friday on suspicion of the possession of terrorist material.
The woman was arrested under section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000; possessing a document or record which contains information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
She has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Just last month it was revealed that Aisha had turned to Islam in 2015, claiming to have ‘found peace’ in it.
She said:
I’ve gone from glamour model to something completely different. But that again makes you wonder. You don’t get shit for wearing nowt but the second you start wearing the veil you get accused of extremism.
She added that she felt ISIS was trying to protect the religion of Islam but that she didn’t know how and that ‘has got her into trouble’.
But naive or not, Aisha had been speaking with a a notorious ISIS recruiter who has countless social media accounts used for recruiting potential jihadi brides and posting ISIS propaganda and extremist ideology.
Now it seems the law has finally caught up with her.
