Troy Catchings/The Press Register via APTragedy struck in southern America on Christmas Eve as tornadoes ripped through southern states and caused huge destruction.
Not only did the natural disaster destroy towns and cities from Arkansas to Michigan, they also left several people dead.
At least 14 people are thought to have died, with the death toll possibly set to rise even higher in a sobering piece of news on Christmas Day.
Troy Catchings/The Press Register via APSix people died in Tennessee, with seven more killed in Mississippi – including a seven-year-old boy who was in a car.
A spokesman for Mississippi Emergency Management Agency also confirmed even more people were seriously injured.
Greg Flynn said:
Until they know for sure where those folks are, they’re going to keep looking, because we’ve had in some cases houses levelled, and they’re just not there anymore.

Tragically, exactly a year ago, five were killed in Mississippi after twisters tore through the southern state, injuring even more people.
