A traffic warden has captured the moment he was hit by a car in a shocking hit and run.

The incident occurred when the warden, David Drury, attempted to give the vehicle’s driver a ticket. When Drury spotted the car parked on zigzags next to a zebra crossing, following procedure, he asked the driver to move.

As the warden began to print a ticket, the driver proceeded to accelerate towards him at speed, knocking him to the ground.
