The incident occurred when the warden, David Drury, attempted to give the vehicle’s driver a ticket. When Drury spotted the car parked on zigzags next to a zebra crossing, following procedure, he asked the driver to move.

As the warden began to print a ticket, the driver proceeded to accelerate towards him at speed, knocking him to the ground.

According to the BBC, Mr Drury was not seriously injured but suffered neck and shoulder injuries.

Footage of the crime was captured on a body worn camera attatched to Drury’s chest. It has since been released by Kent Police, as they investigate the hit and run.
