YouTubeOn what would have been his 38th birthday, the first trailer for a new Heath Ledger documentary has dropped and serves as a reminder of what a phenomenal talent the world lost in 2009.
The Australian actor and director, who shone in films such as The Dark Knight, Brokeback Mountain and Candy, tragically passed away at the age of 28 of an accidental prescription drug overdose.
Now fans will get the chance to see never-before-seen footage of the star in new documentary I Am Heath Ledger, directed by Derik Murray. And if the trailer is anything to go by, it’s going to be pretty emotional.
The new trailer shows interviews with friends and family as well as intimate clips from his personal handheld camera.

I Am Heath Ledger will be premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23 before being made available on Spike TV on May 17.
