Legendary Trance DJ Robert Miles Found Dead Aged 47

Legendary trance DJ and producer Robert Miles has died aged 47 after suffering a mystery illness.

Miles, real name Robert Concina, was most famous for his ’90s hit Children and was known for his use of experimental sounds and floor filling songs.

Throughout his career the Swiss born star had a number of number one hits before he eventually set up Open Lab a Balearic radio station.

His longtime friend, Joe T Vannelli, said:

The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset. I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgements but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled.

Other DJs and fans have paid tribute to Miles on social media.

Miles released six studio albums during his career, the biggest of which ‘Dreamland’ hit the Top 10 in seven countries making it to number two in Switzerland and number three in New Zealand.

Children, the feature track from ‘Dreamland’ was a world-wide hit and went to No. 1 in six countries.
