Tupac Shakur was arrested in Los Angeles last month for a felony assault with a deadly weapon, according to TMZ.
The LA Sheriff’s department has confirmed the bizarre case, saying they booked a 45-year-old man named Tupac Amaru Shakur.
Police however said the suspect is not the rap legend, but a criminal called Clarence Campbell who uses Pac as his alias.
Campbell uses 2Pac’s full name and date of birth every time he is arrested.
Police have cottoned on to the tactic and can now identify ‘Tupac’ and attach Campbell’s correct identity to his arrest records.
Previously Campbell used Tupac’s identity when arrested for battery.
