If you haven’t seen the ‘Be like Bill’ meme by now, then count yourself lucky. It’s recently taken the Internet by storm but not everyone’s loving Bill’s life advice.
Bill is basically a passive-aggressive stick man wearing a bobble hat, who first appeared last year telling people how not to annoy others in their on- and offline behaviour. Despite the meme being unfunny at best, and preachy at worst, he’s proven incredibly popular.
The poorly drawn stick man is the brain child of Eugeniu Croitoru, a Moldovan man who set up a Facebook page for Bill which currently has more than 1.5million likes, reports the i100.
In an interview with the BBC, he said:
The idea is very simple. ‘Bill’ can be anyone who is smart and has common sense and doesn’t do annoying things. You’ll also notice Bill can be someone who makes fun of himself and jokes about others too occasionally.
Unfortunately for good old Bill, the Internet’s a bit capricious and there’s a growing ‘Anti-Bill’ movement, which is actually funnier than the original Bill.
Here’s a selection of the best Anti-Bill jokes:
Dear Bill,
We're all sick of you.
We do not want to be like you.

It’s still early in 2016 so we’re hoping Bill and Bill based memes will be done by February.
If you can’t wait that long though, there is a way you can rid your Facebook of ‘Be Like Bill’ memes completely.
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
