Longtime Batman actor and comedy actor, Adam West, has died aged 88 after a short battle with Leukemia.
A family spokesperson who confirmed the death added that West was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.
Though throughout his lengthy career in the film and TV industry where he starred in The Young Philadelphians, Robinson Crusoe on Mars, and Redux Riding Hood, West will undoubtedly be remembered most for his role in Batman.
Towards the end of his life, West picked up a completely different role – and one which saw his fanbase grow to unforeseen heights – when he starred as the erratic and surreal Mayor West in Family Guy.

As you can probably imagine, Twitter has erupted with people mourning his death:
Mayor West.
