Jose Mourinho hasn’t been in the best of moods recently thanks to Chelsea’s performances on the pitch, but he looked even glummer than usual last night when he attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards.

Perhaps that was in part to the ‘Special One’ being gloriously upstaged by his 18-year-old daughter and, more specifically, her revealing outfit on the red carpet.

The Chelsea manager was at the glamorous event in London (hosted by legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson, no less) to receive the Editor’s Special Award, but apparently he only accepted the invitation to the show because his daughter wanted to go.

He may have regretted that decision because, while Mourinho looked like a middle-aged James Bond (which is no bad thing, to be fair), it was Matilde who was turning heads with her low cut top, while Jose just looked slightly uncomfortable with the whole thing.

Cue all the “playing two up top” and “special one” jokes…

There were a lot of references to parking the bus, of course…

And some wondered if Jose might be as overprotective as a father, as he is as a manager…

Even John Terry got a mention…

To be fair to Jose, perhaps he should be more worried that his daughter is reportedly dating a member of One Direction (Niall Horan). Awkward scenes round the dinner table when he has to act like he enjoys 1D’s music…
