A chilli that is roughly 40 times hotter than a Scotch Bonnet is going on sale in UK supermarkets this week, but before it does, a couple of brave b*stards have given it a try.

The Komodo Dragon chilli will be rolled out in over 500 Tesco stores across the UK, so Jess Long and Tahar Rajab thought they would take it for a test drive.

Prepared in their protective gloves with multiple glasses of milk at hand, the pair each took their turn with the UK’s hottest ever commercially grown chilli, and it goes exactly how you might have imagined.

To put it into perspective, the spice level of a Komodo Dragon weighs in at 1.4 million Scoville units. The insanely hot Scotch Bonnest? Only 350,000 Scovilles. Yep, the Komodo is DANGEROUSLY hot.

I think we’ll be avoiding this one.
