Police have issued a warning to parents after razor blades were discovered taped to the inside of a playground slide.
Ormskirk and Burscough Police posted disturbing images to Facebook yesterday morning (November 30), of the blades found in a park in Winifred Lane, Aughton, Lancashire.
URGENT ALERT: Parents, please be aware that razor blades/knife blades have been attached to the side of the children's slide at the Winifred Lane Play area in Aughton this morning. We would ask everyone to be vigilant and check any play equipment before you let your child use it. Please report anything suspicious or any similar incidents to us by calling either 101 or Crimestoppers, 100% anonymously, on 0800 555111. If anyone has any infomation about this we'd urge them to contact us as soon as possible. Whoever did this could have caused serious injury to a child – please be assured we are fully investigating this matter.

Ormskirk and Burscough Police stated:
Parents, please be aware that razor blades/knife blades have been attached to the side of the children’s slide at the Winifred Lane Play area in Aughton this morning.
The Sun reports police confirmed they’re investigating who’s behind the act, saying it was lucky nobody had been injured.
Retired boxer Tony Bellew took to Twitter, sharing the news, expressing his outrage at the act:

Since yesterday morning the police’s post has been shared over 10,000 times with the video slideshow being viewed 315,000 times.
Bellew shared his tweet to over 598,000 followers.
Local residents have been advised by police:
