U.S. ArmyIf the prospect of some real life Avengers saving the world from evil ever appealed to you, you’re in luck – the U.S. Army is testing ‘Ironman’ suits for soldiers. And they look frightening as hell.
The Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) is supposed to make it’s wearer bulletproof as well as inhumanly strong. On top of that, TALOS would also give soldiers night vision and ‘enhanced mobility.’
US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) are working with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – among others – to develop the armour.

The suit – which would be given out to members of the Navy SEALs and Special Forces – could be ready for testing as soon as 2018.
The technologies currently being developed include added body suit-type exoskeletons, strength, power-increasing systems and additional protection, the Daily Star reports.
Liquid body armour could also feature in the suit which – according to the U.S. Army website – will transform ‘from a liquid to a solid in milliseconds when a magnetic field or electric current is applied.’
U.S. ArmyProfessor Gareth McKinley, who has been trying to perfect this liquid armour technology for over a decade, admitted the new technology sounded like something out of the Marvel films.
He added:
The other kind of things that you see in the movies I think that would be more realistic at the moment would be the kind of external suit that Sigourney Weaver wears in Alien, where it’s a large robot that amplifies the motions and lifting capability of a human.
With armed pro-Trump militia preparing for war if Clinton wins, we may just need these suits…
