President Donald Trump has been accused of racism after telling four congresswomen of colour ‘to go back to the countries they came from’.
The president wrote on Twitter that the women ‘originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe’ and suggested that they should go back to where they came from.
For the record, all four of the women he is believed to be talking about, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley, are American citizens and three of them were born in America.
So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly……

President Trump Tweeted:
So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.
Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough.
The president went on to mention that Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, would be happy to sort out travel for the women which is believed to be a reference to her recent disagreement with Ms Ocasio-Cortez.
As the President showed off his white nationalism for the world to see, #TeamOcasio dispatched Know Your Rights teams to show our neighbors how to protect their civil liberties w/ ICE & others.
Local businesses asked for stacks of flyers, too.
Thank you to all who came out 💜🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/38RFzUwM4b

A number of key Democrats have called Donald Trump out on his inflammatory comments including Ms Pelosi who took to Twitter to defend diversity in America.
Ms Pelosi. wrote:
When @realDonaldTrump tells four American Congresswomen to go back to their countries, he reaffirms his plan to “Make America Great Again” has always been about making America white again. Our diversity is our strength and our unity is our power.
Meanwhile, in response to the tweet, Ms Tlaib has called Trump a complete failure of a president who needs to be impeached, while Ms Ocasio-Cortez tweeted at Mr Trump: ‘On top of not accepting an America that elected us, you cannot accept that we don’t fear you either’.
THIS is what racism looks like. WE are what democracy looks like. And we’re not going anywhere. Except back to DC to fight for the families you marginalize and vilify everyday. pic.twitter.com/vYzoxCgN0X

Ms Pressley also posted a screenshot of Mr Trump’s tweet, along with a caption reading: ‘THIS is what racism looks like. WE are what democracy looks like’.
Mr Trump has not responded to the criticism.
