Verdict On Whether Porsche Responsible For Paul Walker’s Death Is In

A judge has cleared Porsche of any responsibility for the horrific car crash that killed actor Paul Walker in 2013. 

Walker and his friend Roger Roads died when the Carrera GT they were both in – driven by Rodas – crashed into a tree.

Roda’s widow Kristine then sued Porsche, alleging that the car they were driving had various ‘defects’ which resulted in her husband losing control of the vehicle.

Porsche has strongly denied all allegations, saying that: “Walker’s death, and all other injuries or damages claimed, were the result of [his] own comparative fault.”

The Hollywood Reporter reports that U.S. District Court Judge Philip S. Gutierrez threw out the case, adding there was ‘no competent evidence that Rodas’ death occurred as a result of any wrongdoing’ by Porsche.

After the verdict, Roda’s attorney stated that the decision was a ‘miscarriage of justice’ and they now hope to appeal it.

However, this ruling does not impact lawsuits filed against Porsche by Paul’s daughter Meadow, who claims that her father died in ‘a dangerous car that doesn’t belong on the street.’
