Puberty is a tough time in anyone’s life, so it must be harsh when your parents are two of the most beautiful people in the world, which is the exact situation Brooklyn Beckham finds himself in.
What was meant to be a sweet and sentimental picture between mother and son soon turned into a full-on trolling session, initiated by none other than Victoria Beckham, who called out her eldest for trying to grow a moustache.
The normally stoic and reserved Posh Spice took an uncharacteristic turn when she pulled off a ‘WHAT IS THAT?!’ manoeuvre on Brooklyn, in reference to his facial hair game.
To be fair to Brooklyn, 19, it’s not a bad moustache. Certainly not great but it’s clearly in its early phases – a stage one ‘tache as I’d call it. But the savagery was too tempting an opportunity for Victoria to pass up.
Posting the picture on Instagram Victoria wrote in the caption:
Is that a mustache [sic] u r trying to grow @brooklynbeckham x kisses from us both x VB
In the words of Rick James… that was COLD BLOODED. The burn didn’t go unnoticed on the Gram as Victoria’s followers took her trolling as a sign that Brooklyn was copacetic for some ribbing.

Someone else left a comment saying:
I would be SOO embarrassed if my mom posted that comment.
One person on Instagram left us with a disturbing image after they claimed Victoria and Brooklyn look very much alike… ‘sans moustache’. Who knew Victoria Beckham had jokes?
I mean if you tuned in to the royal wedding last month you would have a hard time believing this was the same person. She was criticised, rather harshly, for not turning up with a smile on her face for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
I say ‘harshly’ because it’s like the British press has only just realised the former Spice Girl’s face is constantly on ‘resting b*tch face’ mode – it’s literally her default setting.
But it didn’t stop the press from coming after her and during an interview with the Evening Standard Victoria revealed she was about far removed from unhappy as one could be – in fact, she was feeling relieved.
If that’s a look of relief I’d hate to see her scowl when she’s actually p*ssed off about something.
Speaking to The Evening Standard, Victoria said:
Quite honestly, it was such a relief not to be hugely pregnant at this royal wedding, that it was a joy to be able to choose anything I wanted to wear.
Victoria was heavily pregnant with her daughter Harper when she and David attended Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding back in 2011.
At the time, she was photographed sporting a navy blue dress and Christian Louboutin heels – which I imagine is counteractive footwear for a pregnant woman.
For Harry and Meghan’s wedding, she was again, wearing a navy dress from her own personal range, to which she said:
I love a bit of navy.
The dress is one of my favourites: it isn’t in store until November, but we’ve had so many inquiries about it that I’m seeing whether I can bring it forward.
Now before you get the urge to call child protection services after witnessing the serve burn Victoria just served her son we should point out it was all in the name of good banter (FYI: that will be the only time I will use that term this week).
